Atlanta beat the Los Angeles Rams 27–24 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 29, 2025. Bijan Robinson rushed for 195 yards on 22 carries, including a 93-yard touchdown run.
The official Falcons game centre records those figures and his receiving contribution: five catches for 34 yards and another touchdown. Rushing yards and total scrimmage yards should not be used interchangeably.
The long run is part of the total
Robinson’s 93-yard run accounted for a substantial share of the 195 rushing yards. That does not diminish the play. It does show why an average can conceal different kinds of production across individual carries.
A review should examine the other attempts as well before concluding that every run was successful or that one blocking adjustment explains the entire night.
An individual performance sits inside a team result
Atlanta won by three points. The game centre records Matthew Stafford throwing three interceptions for the Rams, another relevant part of the contest that a one-player account can miss.
Neither Robinson’s yardage nor the turnover count alone explains every possession. Put the scoring sequence alongside the statistics before assigning the whole result to one cause.
Avoid stretching the conclusion
A strong game is evidence of what happened that evening. It is not proof that an offence has permanently found its identity, that every later opponent will struggle in the same way or that a playoff outcome is guaranteed.
For comparison, Purdy’s performance against Chicago combined passing and rushing touchdowns in a different kind of game. The dark-horse evaluation guide explains why a late-season highlight cannot substitute for a dated forecast. The LX result overview records the later championship separately.
Keeping those boundaries visible makes the performance easier to appreciate: Robinson produced a major rushing total and scored in two phases, while Atlanta still needed a complete team effort to finish ahead.
