IPL 2026 is now a completed season, so an article written as though opening night is still ahead needs a clear change of tense. Fixtures, results, rosters and rules remain useful, but each is a different record.
This guide provides a route through those records rather than an undated promise of a complete live schedule. Information was reviewed on 29 October 2026.
The field of teams
The ten franchises were Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Scheduling happened in stages
The 11 March first-phase announcement covered 28 March to 12 April. A later 6 May playoff release set out the final stage, including the final in Ahmedabad.
Do not treat an early partial announcement as the final schedule. When checking a past fixture, use its dated match record, venue and time zone rather than a copied preview.
The final has a completed result
The official final record shows RCB defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets on 31 May. Gujarat made 155/8 and RCB reached 161/5. A retrospective should not leave that event as an unresolved prediction.
RCB’s first championship was the previous year; the 2025 final article covers that separate match.
Use the right document for the question
Trades and auction purchases require announcements or auction records. Rules require the applicable playing conditions. A result page cannot establish every commercial term, just as a roster cannot explain why a tactical decision worked.
